PERSONAL: Born June 7, 1971 in Germany. Has lived and worked in Portugal since 2002. Established the CompetingToHelpKids.com project, which is now over a year old. The is to use his position as an athlete to get publicity and media attention in order to raise money for kids who need help.

2005: Placed 11th at XTERRA Czech, 8th in Italy, Austria, and Spain, and 10th in Germany. Finished 10th in the XTERRA European Tour standings. Had an amazing race in Maui as he was 47th out of the water then third heading out onto the run. Posted 3rd best bike split and finished 6th overall. Finished 49th (34th Pro) in 2004.
LAST YEAR: Finished 3rd at XTERRA France, 6th at XTERRA Italy, 4th at XTERRA Czech, 3rd at XTERRA Spain, and 7th at XTERRA Denmark. Was second in the XTERRA European Tour standings behind Lebrun. Placed 10th at the XTERRA World Championship in Maui and was also awarded the XTERRA Spirit Award for his contributions to humanity.
