RACING ACCOMPLISHMENTS: 2003 ITU Long Distance World Champ, two-time Olympian - placed 23rd at the first Olympic triathlon at the 2000 Summer Olympics with a time of 1:50:48 and was 20th at the 2004 Summer Olympics, in 1:54:52.
2003: His winning time in Maui of 2:32:56 was more than three-and-a-half minutes better than Nicolas LeBrun. Had the second best swim & bike splits and the 7th fastest run.
2004: Won the Nissan Xterra USA Championship in Nevada, was 2nd to Marceau at XTERRA Germany, and won his second straight World title in Maui by finishing a minute faster than Marceau.
2005: 2nd at XTERRA Spain & XTERRA Germany before winning the Nissan Xterra USA Championship. Was second in Maui.
LAST YEAR: Placed 2nd at XTERRA Spain and XTERRA UK and finished 8th in XTERRA European Tour standings. Placed 5th at the XTERRA World Championship just a week after finishing 5th at the Ironman World Championship.
MAUI PASTS: Placed 5th last year. Placed 2nd in 2005, more than three minutes behind Lebrun. Won it all in 2003 and 2004, was second in 2002, 50th in 2001, and 12th in 2000.
